Support the KC8 Foundation to help fund scholarships for Martin County student/athletes who have been inspired to excellence by Kyle Conrad’s legacy.

About Kyle

LYNN UNIVERSITY
A posthumous graduate of Lynn University, Conrad was a four-year letter winner with the Fighting Knights.  In 2010, he led the squad with 11 goals, four assists and 26 points to cap off an incredible playing career.  For his efforts, he was honored as a Daktronics Third Team All-American, First Team All-South Region and Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference selection.

Kyle became just the fourth player in the program’s illustrious history to accumulate 100 career points, and first since 1995, while also being the fourth-highest scorer with 39 goals.  During his time in Boca, he helped lead the team to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances and 3 Sunshine State Conference titles.
Away from the pitch, Kyle was an exceptional student, boasting a 3.79 cumulative grade-point average.  He was the first student-athlete in school history, from any sport, to garner First Team ESPN Academic All-District accolades three times and was twice named an ESPN Academic All-American, including this year.

JENSEN BEACH HIGH SCHOOL
A former standout soccer player, Kyle led the 2006 JBHS Soccer team to a State Championship, the first in the school’s history.  The Palm Beach Post named Conrad its boy’s soccer Player of the Year after he graduated high school with a 3.59 GPA and earned a soccer scholarship to Lynn. He volunteered at his church and finished his high school career in Jensen Beach with 143 goals and 43 assists.

In a 2007 article from The Palm Beach Post, he was quoted as saying he valued his high school soccer teammates. He had the respect of his teammates, peers, family and teachers. “He was that kid that a coach dreams of, that a teacher hopes for. He’s that son I hope I have someday. You realize angels do walk on earth, and you realize who they are when God calls them home early. It’s hard to make sense of it all. It’s hard to take in.” – Coach Charles Rosseau

FAITH AND GENEROSITY
The Conrad family has been active at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church for more than 30 years. The family’s faith has been their bond and strength both in good times and in bad. In conjunction with the KC8 Foundation, the St. Martin’s “Assist in the Goal” Scholarship Fund awards two scholarships yearly to students of Jensen Beach High School who have excelled in both academics and sports.

Following the tragic accident in December 2010, Kyle Conrad became an organ donor through the University of Miami.  As a result of the family’s generosity, Kyle’s eyes were donated for transplant to a needy recipient.
